The Tillandsia tectorum ecuador is a xerophytic low-maintenance plant that needs more direct light and less water than any other Tillandsia. Native to the arid Andes in Peru and Ecuador, this Bromeliaceae family member has its leaves adapted for extreme weather conditions. Thus, the dense fuzzy white trichomes reflect the ultra-violet rays in native conditions. This plant grows anywhere between 6 to 8 inches but can be shorter or taller depending on the growing needs. The air plant is lightweight due to its snowball appearance. This winter-dormant Tectorum Ecuador grows slowly at a snail’s pace with the potential to bloom anytime during the year.

Growth Rate
The Tectorum Ecuador air plant is hugely slow-growing.

Flowering
The light pink Tillandsia flower grows out of reddish bracts on a mature Tectorum air plant.

Watering and Feeding
Compared to all other Tillandsias, the Tillandsia tectorum ecuador demands less watering due to the presence of so many trichomes. Soaking in water is a big no. Misting once every third week is ideal. This plant should be completely dry within an hour of misting. In drier climates, the frequency of misting may be increased, and in a humid climate, it may be decreased.

Soil
No soil is required for the plant. An essential Tillandsia Tectorum care tip is surrounding your air plant with rocks, sand, sea glass, or shells but not moss or soil.

Hardiness
The Tillandsia tectorum ecuador air plant grows well in hardiness zones of 10 and above. It is crucial to note that these air plants cannot tolerate temperatures less than 30° to 40°F (-1.1° to 4.4°C).

Light
Another important Tectorum Ecuador air plant care tip is that the plant grows well in direct sunlight.

Propagation
Offsets at the base of the air plant necklace are the best way for propagation.

The beautiful snowballs of drought-resistant Tectorum Ecuador are exceptionally popular. With their marked distinct identify, your air plant collection will go a notch higher with these around.

Soft and cool and comfortable!
Color: 02 - Linen, Size: Queen
These are the best cotton sheets I’ve ever had. They are more than large enough for my very deep queen mattress and the extra straps they have on the corners are helpful too. They are so comfortable to sleep in. I’m a very hot sleeper but these sheets stay nice and cool and don’t smother me like other sheets do. I really love them, so much I bought a second set already because you can’t beat that price for 100% cotton.

Best sheets I've ever bought.
Color: 03 - Olive Green, Size: King
Love the color. Love the feel. Texture is "crisp" but it still very soft and comfortable. Have not had to retuck my corners even once since I put them on even though we move around constantly at night. Old sheets had to be retucked on the corners every night. Just feel like a quality sheet overall. Little pricey, but worth it for the level you're getting. I do wish the came in more dark colors. I have the green and would love a burgundy.

Best sheets ever!
Color: 01 - Ivory, Size: Queen
These are the softest sheets I have found for a great price! The added corner straps are super for my adjustable bed! I highly recommend these sheets. Deep pocket corners allow for my foam topper too. I'm definitely going to buy more of these!

Great Organic Choice!
Color: 01 - Ivory, Size: Queen
These sheets are great, soft and the perfect amount of thickness! They are roomy and fit around my deep mattress. They will be a bit wrinkly out of the dryer, but they are cotton sheets so that is to be expected. Hoping they don’t shrink like other organic sheets I have had in the past. My only complaint is I wish they had more colors!

Feels a bit synthetic
Color: 01 - Ivory, Size: Queen
I liked it, it’s not the softest but it’s soft, it feels silky as well but don’t know why is that not sure if it’s algodon mixed with plastic? Don’t know, when I touched it the first time I had the same sensation I get when I touch something that’s too synthetic. Still it’s soft and I want to trust that’s really organic and without harmful materials
