It offers no residual action, is water soluble and is only effective when absorbed by foliage – it becomes inactive upon contact with soil. Does not harm fish when properly used. For submerged weeds, dilute and inject below the water surface or pour directly into the water while moving slowly over the area in a boat. Use of a non-ionic surfactant is recommended with this product. Use 7 to 48 gal. per acre-foot for aquatic weeds and algae, depending on infestation level. Use 20 to 48 gal. per acre-foot for cattail and duckweed. Can also be used as a terrestrial herbicide by diluting 16-oz. per gal. of water. Active ingredient is 1.85% diquat dibromide.
