The Maxi Cosi Nomad XL Plus is the compact folding car seat that’s ready to travel. Take it with you, switch it between cars, and store it away when you’re done using it. Nomad XL Plus makes getting around with your little one quicker and easier than ever, from 15 months all the way up to 12 years old.

Safety

As Nomad XL Plus shows, convenience doesn’t mean compromising on safety. i-Size compliant and equipped with always on, always activated G-CELL Side Impact Protection panels, it keeps your little one travelling safely through years of use. In harness mode, it’s secured with a top tether and ISOFIX connectors, before it effortlessly converts to booster mode after your child reaches 105 cm or 18kgs.
Please note that the Maxi Cosi Nomad XL Plus HAS NOT been independently crash tested. We recommend only using the Nomad as a travel seat or as a secondary seat, and not for every day use. 

Ease of use

Nomad XL Plus weighs just 6 kg, making it effortless to carry and store — it even comes with a convenient travel bag. With a width of just 44 cm, you can fit up to three car seats side by side in your car's backseat. Travelling with your little ones has never been quicker or easier.

Age range

Your child can start using Nomad XL Plus from 15 months old (76 cm) and after that, it’s the only car seat they’ll need. You can continue to switch it between cars, the grandparents’ car, taxis, and wherever else you need it all the way up to 12 years old (150 cm).
Please note: The Nomad XL Plus is forward facing only and therefore we DO NOT recommend using this seat before your child is AT LEAST 2 years old as rearfacing is 500% safer!

Comfort

With Nomad XL Plus, your child travels in comfort throughout childhood. The 5 recline positions ensure you’re always able to find the perfect position as they grow, whether they’re sitting back and enjoying the ride or snoozing through it. The seat can be used in any recline position while using the harness. Thereafter, when using the seat in booster mode, the most upright position must be used.

Travel Friendly

Nomad XL Plus folds into a package with dimensions of 46x53x23 cm, fitting within the cabin luggage limits of most airlines. However, since these limits vary between airlines, we recommend checking whether Nomad XL Plus meets your airline's carry-on requirements before your flight.

Do one oil change myself and it’s more than paid for.

It is 74 mm. It’s nicely made of cast aluminum. It has a rough cast finish so it shouldn’t be difficult to hold on to. It does fit my Lexus filter and the price is very reasonable. It also fits the oil filter on my 1999 (antique) Harley Davidson Heritage Classic. Which is the primary reason I ordered it. I don’t know this for certain but I suspect it will fit all HD EVO engines. That would be 1984 through 1998 except the Heritage which didn’t change to the 88 Twin Cam until 2000.
