  • Distinctive Appearance: Rainbow Bush features small, round to oval leaves that are a mix of green and creamy white, often edged with pink, creating a striking variegated effect. The leaves grow on reddish-brown stems that become woody with age, adding to the plant’s visual appeal.
  • Hardy Growth: This succulent thrives in well-draining soil and full to partial sunlight, making it easy to care for and adaptable to various growing conditions.
  • Drought Tolerant: Rainbow Bush is highly drought-tolerant, requiring minimal watering, which makes it a low-maintenance choice for busy gardeners.

  • Environmental Benefits: Known for its air-purifying qualities and ability to sequester carbon, Portulacaria afra variegata contributes to a healthier environment.

Care Instructions:

  • Light: Thrives in full to partial sunlight. Indoors, place near a bright window with plenty of indirect sunlight.
  • Water: Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water thoroughly, ensuring good drainage, and avoid letting the plant sit in water.
  • Soil: Use a well-draining succulent or cactus mix to prevent root rot.
  • Temperature: Prefers temperatures between 60-80°F (16-27°C). Protect from frost and extreme heat.
  • Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer diluted to half strength during the growing season (spring and summer).

Add the stunning Rainbow Bush to your plant collection and enjoy its vibrant, variegated foliage and easy-care nature. Perfect for any indoor or outdoor setting, this succulent brings a touch of elegance and environmental benefits to your space.

Special Note: Please be aware that succulents are fragile and may lose leaves during the shipping process. This is normal and the plant will recover with proper care.

Scholarly and Readable, Too
Format: Paperback
I read the first volume in this series (about the Great Depression), and now I'm in the midst of this one. Kennedy's very-lucid prose keeps the reader moving along, and of course, the sweep of the story he's telling is nearly-irresistible. But in lamer hands, the prose might well have bogged down in turgidity--not so in this case!

Good but not as good
Format: Kindle
Freedom From Fear #1 was one of the most interesting and informational books I've ever read. Part Two was interesting but I did not learn much more about the war than I had known before other than the fact that, while Japan lost the war, Anglo-Saxons are no longer in control in the Far East. I somewhat disagree with his ending ideas about the "good" war, that it wasn't so "good" after all in it's outcome. However, those who fought in it and their families would probably disagree.
