Millennium wood ( Dracaena marginata ) is a species in the genus Dracaena , native to Madagascar and Mauritius. The plant has long, narrow leaves that are green or dark red with yellowish edges. It can grow to about 1.5 meters tall and is a relatively easy-care plant for a sunny location indoors.

Dracaena marginata is a drought tolerant plant, but does not allow the soil to dry out completely. It likes a warm environment and its optimum growth temperature is 18°C ​​to 24°C . During winter, the plants will grow slower, so they don't need as much water and fertilizer. The plant needs regular pruning when grown indoors to maintain its shape and health.

In addition to being a potted plant, Dracaena marginata is also popular in interior decoration. Its green leaves and crimson edges can create a natural and cozy atmosphere in the home.
