Usos comunes:
  • Se utiliza comúnmente como planta de interior. Del griego “chamai” (en el suelo) y “dorea” (un regalo), que significa que los frutos cuelgan cerca del suelo y, por lo tanto, son fáciles de conseguir.
  • Los miembros de esta familia proveen al mundo de muchos productos, incluidos alimentos (coco y aceite), productos ornamentales, cera, fibras y bebidas.
