Rubber Tree Tineke Kokedama, Ficus elastica tineke, Ficus Decora Tineke

Native to India and Indonesia, the Rubber Tree Tineke features bold, painterly strokes of reddish-pink tones on the outside of the green and cream foliage, the sheath at the top of the stem is a deep burgundy-red color. The Fiscus Tineke is one of the highly variegated varietals within the Rubber Tree family and easy to grow for both beginners and Kokedama pros, though these tend to have higher light needs in order to maintain their beautiful leaf colors.

Take care as Rubber Trees are toxic to cats and dogs.

Kokedamas are an ancient form of Japanese Bonsai that dates to around 1600 AD. These living planters are made with moss, soil, twine, and a plant. They have a sunny disposition and are low maintenance.

Kokedama plants come with either a Tray for Basic Planter, Grey Patina or Tray for Basic Planter, White Patina. They also pair well with our Wrought Iron Planter Stand in Small, sold separately here as well as our Granite Stands and Terra Cotta Planters.

Please note that the plants you receive may be smaller and less mature than the ones photographed. They will be eager for growth in their new home!

IN A NUTSHELL

Tolerate low light but LOVE direct morning light.
Highly sensitive to cold, drafts, and sudden changes in temps.

All Kokedamas are non-returnable / non-refundable / not eligible for discounts.

A must-read for every American
Format: Hardcover
This book is a must-read for every American. It starts as a historical lesson about voting rights and how they have evolved and devolved over the years and ends with a very detailed real time discussion of current voter suppression, gerrymandering, and election fraud. The greatest lesson I learned from it is that our voting experiences are absolutely determined by our zip codes. It is extremely relevant to what is happening today and in our very recent past. This book should be required reading in every high school and college American History, Civics and Government class un America.

excellent
Format: Paperback
Detailed look at the many voter suppression efforts that target communities of color and the poor. The rationale is partisan and simple: a majority of the country doesn't agree with Republican politics. In order to stay in power, the GOP is using seemingly neutral laws that in reality disenfranchise many voters, particularly African Americans. The GOP has manufactured solutions in search of a problem, all in an effort to stop non-white people from voting. It's incredibly pernicious but Carol Anderson has written an excellent book pulling back the curtain on voter suppression.
