It is easy to propagate but slow growing and as the name "fragilis" suggests the plant is incredibly delicate and heads can be easily dislodged even with the slightest touch.

We wrap these very carefully to try and keep them intact but it's highly likely when you receive this plant you will have some segments come away. If so just nest them down in the pot and they will soon form new roots forming a more extensive clump.

This petite cactus is native to Central Mexico and is well-suited for growing outdoors in warm climates. It forms a charming clump of short, spiny stems, each one producing a cluster of thimble-sized offshoots. At maturity, the plant develops an attractive, rounded shape, growing up to 12 cm in height, with each head reaching around 3 cm in diameter.
