Scientific name: Anthurium x (various)
Synonyms: Flamingo Flower

  • Deep green heart-shaped foliage
  • Can flower profusely year-round
  • Truly easy care
  • Adds those pops of colour to a lush urban space

Also called the Flamingo Flower, the Anthurium is a popular indoor plant due to its ease of care and striking deep green almost heart-shaped foliage.

As houseplants Anthuriums are prized for their ability to produce beautiful, long-lasting flowers throughout the year. The waxy heart-shaped ‘flowers’ are actually modified leaves and come in a range of hues namely red, pink, pale yellows, white and salmon.

Native to tropical rainforests throughout Central and South America, many Anthuriums are climbers in their natural settings and will in time need staking. They love warmth and humidity, the perfect indoor plant for a brightly lit kitchen or bathroom, however, these stunners are extremely happy to live wherever they are placed, be it as a tabletop accent piece or something to bring a touch of colour into the office.

Pair your Anthurium with a planter of choice as this beauty is a plant that can make anything look stylish and statementy.

PLEASE NOTE: These plants are considered poisonous and should be kept away from pets and children.
Quality Note: Some natural blemishes may occur.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Follow these instructions to keep your Anthurium happy & healthy.

Light: Anthuriums like as much bright indirect light as they can get. They will tolerate almost all levels of indirect light, however, the plant will grow slower and produce fewer flowers in low light. Always keep out of the direct sun.
Water: Water the Anthurium well and then allow the top 2-6cm of soil to dry out before watering again.
Humidity: The higher the humidity, the happier the Anthurium!
Fertilizer: Use a balanced fertilizer diluted by 1/3-1/4 and feed the plant monthly during the spring and summer when the plant is actively growing.

80lb Dog Goes Wild Over This Pulpo
My dog goes wild over this toy. The key difference between this and other octopus chew and rip toys is that this has a head horn, crinkle legs, and a squeaker in every limb. It makes it so much fun to play with him. After he destroys the sounds, he parades it around for his victory show.

Nice toy. But our dog ripped it apart in less than an hour. Bassett hound

Cute toy that definitely entertains the pups.
These are adorable toys. They make a bit more noise than I expected as they have the crackly ‘stuff’ in the legs. My mastiff made it a whole day without destroying it. This is the first toy that’s survived him for more than 10 minutes, so that’s an endorsement even if it sounds bad. They are a great price for the size. If I were to say I have a wish for them, it’s that the material that makes up their belly was more durable.

Durability Not So Good
The size is great and having squeakers in all tentacles is super for the puppy but had to sew a seam withing one week of having it. Hoping the rest stays together.

Long lasting and fun
This toy has lasted longer than other octopus toys I've bought in the past. Even if a leg or two is ripped off, it still holds on.
