Many people are intimidated by cacti, but this one is different; it's an epiphyte, meaning it naturally grows on trees in tropical areas, not desert sand. This changes how we care for it. Unlike desert cacti, the Ric Rac prefers bright, indirect light—no hot, scorching sun, please! A filtered east or west window is ideal.
For watering, let the top inch or two of soil dry out, then give it a good soak. Crucially, as a tropical plant, it appreciates humidity more than a desert cactus does, so misting it occasionally is a great way to show it love, especially during our dry Arizona months. With the right care, you might even be rewarded with stunning, fragrant flowers! This plant proves that 'weird' can be wonderfully easy.
