Variegated Gold Philodendron Selloum, also known as the variegated split leaf philodendron, is a bold architectural statement plant prized for its deeply cut foliage splashed with golden yellow to creamy variegation. Each large, glossy leaf is uniquely patterned, creating strong contrast against the rich green base. As it matures, it forms a broad, self supporting clump with dramatic, tropical presence. The gold variegation adds brightness and rarity to an already iconic foliage plant, making it ideal as a feature specimen in spacious, light filled interiors.Position & Light
Prefers bright indirect light to maintain strong variegation. Can tolerate medium light but colour contrast may reduce. Avoid harsh direct afternoon sun which can scorch lighter sections. In New Zealand homes, position near a bright north facing window set back from direct sun or near an east facing window.Watering
Allow the top third to half of the potting mix to dry before watering. Keep evenly moist during active growth but never waterlogged. Reduce watering frequency in winter. Ensure the pot drains freely to prevent root rot.Humidity
Adapts well to average indoor humidity but thrives in moderate to higher humidity. Increased humidity supports larger leaf development and reduces browning on variegated sections.Soil
Use a rich but well draining indoor potting mix with added bark and perlite for structure and airflow. A chunky aroid blend works well for established specimens.Feeding
Feed monthly through spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertiliser at half strength. Avoid over fertilising as this can affect variegation. Pause feeding in winter.Growth Habit
A self heading, non climbing plant that forms a thick central trunk over time. Mature plants widen significantly and produce increasingly large, deeply lobed leaves. Allow adequate space for growth.Difficulty
Moderate. Requires strong light and careful watering to maintain healthy variegation. Best suited to growers comfortable managing larger foliage plants.Pet Safety
Toxic if ingested. Contains calcium oxalate crystals that may cause irritation to pets and humans.Shipping Notes

My doggo's go-to toy!
It's not the most durable of toys (she's on her third in five years) but I will buy her as many as she needs because she is OBSESSED with it!

Defective toy and inconsistent quality.
Size: X-Large, Color: Raccoon, Size: X-Large, Color: Raccoon
My initial review was 5 stars based on my experience with a previous order (blue raccoon) and the fact my puppy was immediately interested in it. However, I did not give it to her to play with until this past Friday (May 21, 2026) because she had the first one I bought. In a matter of 2 days the seam on the back and at the base of the head unraveled and all of the stuffing was scattered all over the room. I thought I’d found some good, high quality, toys for her but apparently this one was defective because the first one had had a lot of use and I’d still in decent shape. This is too much money to pay for a dog toy that only lasts a day or two so be advised they aren’t all good.

Bigger, louder, crinklier, softer, than expected!
Size: X-Large, Color: Rabbit
My dog was gifted a collection of used toys and he really likes a very long stuffed pig which, unfortunately, another dog that is a destructive chewer, totally destroyed. I decided to break down and buy him another long stuffed toy today and since he's always blissfully watching rabbits in the yard and neighborhood I chose the rabbit version. This thing is huge which is great for him- he's 62 lbs and 7 months old and only half grown. He loves it, it has multiple LOUD squeakers, lots of crinkly spots, and fun ears/legs to grab hold off. He's a big fan and it's made with K9 Tuff Guard which LASTS. Super soft and easy to wash.
Update after 2 months- easy to wash and looks new after a washing. very durable so far, standing up to indoor and outdoor use. He is not a destructive chewer but whips them around, tramples on them, steps on them while running top speed and chomps on the annoying squeaker for hours. one squeaker has a hole and its tune is now slightly muted (thank god)

So many squeakers!
Color: Squeaker Matz Gator, Size: X Large (Pack of 1)
I have 3 golden retrievers. They love this toy. While the head came off because they played tug-o-war with it, the rest has held up mostly for 5-6 months. At this point sometimes a squeaker will pop out. There are so many squeakers in this toy! However, they still use it for tug-o-war, I am surprised it has lasted this long. There is only stuffing in the head.
