Agave straws, also known as agave fiber straws or agave stalk straws, are eco-friendly alternatives to traditional plastic straws. They are made from the stalks of the agave plant, specifically the agave sisalana species. Agave plants are native to Mexico and are primarily known for their use in producing tequila and agave syrup.

To make agave straws, the stalks of mature agave plants are harvested. The outer layers of the stalks are removed, and the remaining fibrous material is dried and cleaned. The resulting fibers are then treated and processed to create long, hollow tubes that can be used as straws.

One of the main advantages of agave straws is their sustainability. Agave plants are fast-growing, and the stalks can be harvested without killing the plant. This makes them a renewable resource and reduces the environmental impact compared to plastic straws, which are non-biodegradable and contribute to pollution.

Agave straws are also biodegradable and compostable. Once they have served their purpose, they can be disposed of in compost bins or natural environments, where they will break down naturally over time.

These straws are often seen as a more eco-friendly option for individuals and businesses looking to reduce their plastic waste and adopt sustainable practices. However, it's worth noting that the availability of agave straws may vary depending on your location, as they are not as widely produced or distributed as plastic straws.

When using agave straws, it's important to note that they are not suitable for hot beverages, as they can become soft and lose their structural integrity. They are typically recommended for use with cold drinks, such as iced coffee, smoothies, or cocktails.

Overall, agave straws provide a greener alternative to plastic straws, offering a more sustainable option for those looking to reduce their environmental impact.

Love the Stretch
I have two 15 ish pound dogs that love to pull and tug on this toy...all day long, every day. It's long enough for the humans in the house to also grab an end and not worry about getting nipped by playful pups. The fact that it stretches seems to be even more fun for the dogs. We have several other similar unstuffed long toys but they get very little attention. This toy is definitely unique and a cut above the other similar toys. The stretch seems to make all of the difference. If they had more animal choices, I would buy them all.

So cute!
Good size toy, but my 1yr old Jack Russell is NB match for it. It’s good quality and I’m sure it would last longer with a less aggressive chewer.

Dog loves it! Squeaky on both ends!
Bungee rope is not as resistant as I wished, but its fun nonetheless! Squeaks in head and tail. Misssteped the tail and broke one squeaker, still fun though! Toy can handle a beating. Really happy with it!

My dogs loves this toy
I got a few different toys for them today. I need to go through their toybox and get rid of some of the older ones. I can tell the youngster loves the toys. He has taken them into one of the crates and sat with them. Then he brought them back out. He fell asleep with his head against one of them. He has been playing tug of war with this one. And the older one has been running around with it too. Pup already pulled one eye off of this one. But the toy is intact.

SPOT Bungee Raccoon
Purchased 5/20. Decent dog toy. I have a Chiyorkie and he chews on his toys constantly. The squeakers went after a couple of days and then he pulled them out. I put them in the trash. After about two months he had chewed off the head and pulled the bungee out. The bungee went in the trash. I let him play with head and tail pieces for a while but the head had gotten into bad shape so in the trash it went. That left about a twelve inch piece left. He has been playing with that now about a month. He loved tearing the toy up and I do not really blame the toy. He rips up anything that is made of cloth. The only real issue I have with the toy is the two squeakers. IMO they could cause a choking or bowel blocking hazard. I just happened to catch him chewing on them after he had gotten them back. An old knotted on each end knee sock works just about as well but from then on don't leave your socks laying around. They will be fair game for you pet. lol
