Description: Tillandsia tenuifolia 'Emerald Forest' is a cultivar which was selected out of T. tenuifolia Sp. and named. Tillandsia tenuifolia Sp. is natively distributed to a wide region of areas from South Carolina, Florida and the Greater Antilles (Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, and Haiti) from Mexico to Salvador, as well as Northern Brazil, Peru, Venuzuela, Windward Islands, Surinam, Bolivia, Argentina, Paraguay, Surinam, Guyana, and French Guyana. In it's natural habitat it grows as an epiphyte at altitudes of over 2,700m.

This plant has a caulescent growth habit and enjoys being mounted upside down so it can curl it's way up towards the sun. The leaves are a dark green in colour, channeled and distinctly stiff. The plant forms a bright pink inflorescence which produces white petaled flowers which are slightly keeled. The plant is hardy and easy to grow, it is suggested that it can survive temperatures down to -3 degrees Celsius.

Position: They should receive bright, indirect sunlight. Indoors, an east or west facing window area is ideal. Outdoors under partially shaded conditions is fine but in the colder states protection from frost is required, so an undercover or indoors area is more appropriate.

Watering: As a general rule, a plant in a hot position will require watering every 2-3 days. In a dark, humid environment watering once per week can often be adequate. This can be achieved by misting or dunking the plant. If outdoors, a hose can be used. When dunking a plant, leave submerged in a bowl of water for 10-20 minutes before shaking off excess water. Air plants love to dry out completely between each watering and must never have water sitting at their base as this will cause the plant to rot.

Fertilisation: We recommend fertilising your Air Plants once a fortnight in the warmer months and once a month through winter. We sell Air Plant Fertiliser in our "Decor" section and this bottle can be diluted to create 1L of fertiliser.

Each living plant is unique and may vary slightly in size, colour or shape depending on the season. Flowering plants are sent when available.

Best for small inquisitive dogs
This dog puzzle worked.for.abput a day until our lab decided it was easier to just chew on it until it gave up the treats. The outer ring of yellow sliders were good.but the red required interactive manipulation of the center sections that only frustrated our lab to the point where she just picked it up to chew and drop until it gave up the treats. Great idea, but not for a brute-force attack! I will say the plastic sliders have held up longer than expected but in the end our lab just had fun chewing it while carrying across the yard. She did enjoy it initially but I think grew bored or maybe frustrated with it. Probably best left to smaller breeds to fidget with.

Good intermediate smart toy
This has become one of my puppy's favorite boy's. He is so smart and flustered through the beginning interactive toys quick. I got him this one next. The design is good. He did get through some ok, but got frustrated early with the harder ones. Started flipping and chewing it. It wasnt easy to chew through but did snap a few hinges. Stubborn dog, but still enjoying it. . It moves easily and does stimulate him to think. Great toy especially for smart dogs. Mine is just too impatient and growls at it.

Great toy
Color: Yellow
My dog loved this! Kept him entertained for some time. Only problem I had was trying to unscrew the ends after he was done so I could clean it (my dog slobers a lot lol). With him playing and trying to chew it made the ends tighten more. But over all great toy!

Fun toy!
Color: Yellow
It was funny to see how my cat figured out how to roll the toy to get treats out. Great idea that makes your pet work a little for a reward.
