A hardy native evergreen with timeless beauty.

The Eastern Red Cedar (Juniperus virginiana) is a true American classic—native, adaptable, and tough as nails. With its dense evergreen foliage and pyramidal shape, this cedar is a favorite for privacy plantings, windbreaks, and naturalized landscapes. Its bluish-green needles provide year-round color, while its rugged growth habit makes it one of the most dependable evergreens available.

Perfect for privacy, erosion control, and large properties.

Growing 30–50 feet tall and 10–20 feet wide, Eastern Red Cedar is often planted in rows to create solid evergreen hedges or long property borders. Its fibrous root system also makes it ideal for erosion control on slopes and fields, while its tolerance for poor soils makes it invaluable in difficult landscapes. Whether you need a privacy screen, windbreak, or large-scale planting, Eastern Red Cedar offers both form and function.

Drought-tolerant and low-maintenance.

Eastern Red Cedar thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, but it adapts to clay, sandy, and rocky ground with ease. Once established, it is highly drought-tolerant and requires only occasional watering during dry spells. Unlike more delicate evergreens, this cedar handles heat, cold, and urban conditions without complaint, making it one of the lowest-maintenance privacy trees you can grow.

Valuable for wildlife and landscapes.

In addition to its beauty and utility, Eastern Red Cedar provides food and shelter for birds and pollinators. Its small blue berries attract cedar waxwings, robins, and other songbirds, while its dense evergreen canopy offers year-round protection for wildlife. Planting Eastern Red Cedar means you’re not only investing in your property, but also supporting native ecosystems and biodiversity.

Great toy for our best boys!
Color: Consuela the Cactus - Large, Size: Large Dog
You can never go wrong with BarkBox toys and this was no exception. Our dogs like toys that have squeakers and that they can tear into. This style of toy fits the bill. The design is cute as well. I’ve had this in the house for months and, while it’s definitely seen better days, it’s still intact and they haven’t gotten to the inner layer. (Not for want of trying.) The perfect type of toy for our fur babies.

Survives 7 months so far.
Color: Christmas Consuela, Size: Large Dog
It is still intact after nearly 7 months of constant play. My blue heeler normally destroys toys in just a few weeks. Consuela has exceeded expectations of survival with an extremely chewy, destruction prone dog.

Short-lived but much enjoyed as a chew toy
Color: Consuela the Cactus - Large, Size: Large Dog
I bought two of these for my "granddogs" in the size for Large dogs. The German Shepherd-mix stole the one intended for the border collie-mix and had both toys halfway destroyed within a day--I'm pretty sure they didn't survive much longer after that. Much enjoyed! Maybe I should've bought the Extra Large size, because the Large barely fit in her mouth and she wanted to play tug-of-war, so there wasn't much for me to grab onto. Then the border collie wanted in on the action (she's older, so she needed help tugging!) but there wasn't enough material for her to grab onto without accidentally sinking her teeth into me instead.

Love all the Barkbox toys
Color: Christmas Consuela, Size: Large Dog
This is our third "Consuela"! Our dogs LOVE these toys, and they are the most durable we can find for our heavy chewers. They really like the ball inside as well. Highly, highly recommend these toys. I won't be buying other toys anymore, just barkbox.
