Garden Sweet Burpless Cucumber Seeds (Cucumis sativus) – 100+ Non-GMO Heirloom Seeds for Planting, Thin-Skinned, Low-Bitterness Slicers, by Isla’s Garden Seeds, Gift Idea for Gardeners

Garden Sweet Burpless Cucumber (Cucumis sativus) delivers crisp, refreshing cucumbers with thin skins and notably low bitterness. Long, straight fruits are ideal for salads, sandwiches, and fresh snacking—no peeling needed for most tastes.

Vigorous vines produce heavily through warm weather, especially when grown on a trellis for clean, straight fruit and efficient use of space. Regular harvesting encourages continuous set, rewarding gardeners with steady yields all season.

Enjoy these mild, sweet cucumbers chilled and sliced, spiralized into ribbons, or tossed with herbs and a splash of lemon. Their tender skins and small seed cavities make them a favorite for quick, fresh recipes.

Reliable, productive, and deliciously mellow, Garden Sweet Burpless is a top choice for anyone seeking prolific vines and consistently high-quality slicers.

🌱Planting Instructions

Approx seeds per order 100

Sow seeds outdoors after frost when soil reaches at least 60°F, or start indoors 3–4 weeks early and transplant carefully. Choose a sunny site with fertile, well-draining soil; trellis or fence supports help keep fruit straight and clean.

Plant seeds 1/2 inch deep and 12–18 inches apart in rows or along a trellis line. Keep soil evenly moist—mulch helps hold moisture and reduces bitterness. Provide 6–8 hours of sun and good airflow to minimize disease.

Harvest frequently when cucumbers are tender and before seeds enlarge. Picking every couple of days promotes continued production and the best flavor and texture.

Our dogs hurt their mouths chewing these bones
Color: Purple & Blue
I don't do a lot of reviews because I realize many are objective opinions. However, in this case I felt it was necessary to warn others. Our dogs are aggressive chewers. Their last rubber bones (not these) which we've purchased before, and recently purchased again, were destroyed quickly. Chunks of rubber came off the ends. Since those didn't hold up like they used to, I found these harder bones hoping they would last longer. They were able to gnaw into the hard plastic within a few minutes. This created sharp edges that cut their mouths. When I saw a bit of blood on the bones, I took them away from the dogs and threw them away. I wondered why they quit chewing on them after being so excited at first. Also, these are hard enough to damage a tooth.
