This prickly plant is awesome for living borders! The tree grows to 30 feet and grown as a thick hedge it can keep livestock in the pen, or deer out of your garden. Ideal for woven fences, but wear heavy gloves while working with these thorns!

Decorative fruit is inedible, however the seeds can be roasted and eaten as one might use sunflower seeds.

The wood of Osage Orange is rot resistance and unappealing to wood-boring insects, making it ideal for long lasting building projects.

GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

For best results, sow seeds outdoors in Fall (mulch beds) or in Spring (don't mulch beds).  If sowing indoors…

SEED PRETREATMENT: Soak seeds for 24 hours, start with warm water. Then, mix seeds with a moistened grow medium equal to 4x seed volume. Place in a plastic bag, covered tray/cells or container.

STRATIFICATION: 30 days cold/moist (5°C). Place plastic bag with seeds and soil in your refrigerator, preferably in a veggie crisper. Inspect periodically for moisture and early germination

POST-STRATIFICATION: Sow stratified seeds 3/8”. Alternating soil temperatures during the day (30°C) and night (20°C) aids germination. Water evenly and regularly.

GERMINATION: When all previously mentioned requirements are fulfilled, germination generally occurs in 40-60 days.

Necessary book for little ones!
Format: Board book
Great baby gift. My grown children loved Richard Scarry books. My daughter asked for this as a baby shower gift. Her son I'm sure will love it as much as she did.

Fun and Sturdy Book!
Format: Board book
We had the paperback form of this book first. The paperback form tore so easily and did not last due to how much our daughter loved it. We ordered this board book version and it has lasted us way longer than the paperback. It also has tons of every day words within the book. Our daughter loves the pictures and asking what the word is. Her vocabulary has definitely improved significantly from reading this book over and over again.

Cute animals and chunky flaps
Format: Board book
One of my littlest grandkids’ favorites and I don’t have to worry about them ripping off the flaps with these chunky style books.

Cute, rhyming, durable
Format: Board book
We love the simplicity (but also beautifully detailed pictures) The rhymes are creative and fun (spiny friends, swimming in the briny friends) The thick flaps are perfect for little fingers
