Spathiphyllums come in many different hybridized versions and are a very common houseplant often referred to as a Peace Lily. They are very popular due to their hardy nature and uniquely hooded, white blooms. Although the Spathiphyllum is a tropical plant from the hot, humid environments of Central America, South America, Southeastern Asia and Polynesia, this plant does great in the average home humidity and will tolerate missed waterings. Because of its high versatility, it can also be grown as a semi-aquatic plant as long as only the roots are submerged. It also will tolerate almost any lighting conditions and is a great plant for those who do not have green thumbs!

Container Gardens/Terrariums/Houseplant:
For the above reasons, this plant is an excellent candidate to keep as a houseplant. At smaller sizes like Josh’s Frogs sells it at, the plant will also do well in a container garden or terrarium for quite a while before it will have to be taken out and transplanted.

Vivariums/Animal Terrariums:
This plant is a very popular vivarium plant when purchased at a small size like Josh’s Frogs offers. Since it does well in almost all conditions, it tolerates the high lighting and high moisture of a vivarium and will create a nice thick foliage that can be placed in the middle-back areas of the tank.
As good practice, Josh's Frogs recommends washing all plants thoroughly removing as much soil as possible with dechlorinated water before placing them in their final home. Plants from Josh’s Frogs are specifically grown to be safe for use with animals. Live plants may vary in color, size and appearance.
