Bring vibrant color and a fresh, citrusy aroma to your garden with the Lemongrass plant, Cymbopogon citratus. This fast-growing, clump-forming grass is prized for its upright, slender green stalks and rich lemon fragrance. Native to tropical climates, lemongrass is commonly used for its ornamental appeal and is also well known for its use in culinary applications, particularly in Southeast Asian cuisine. The plant thrives in warm, sunny conditions and can be grown in garden beds or containers, making it an adaptable addition to patios, balconies, and kitchen gardens. Lemongrass also functions as a lush border plant or accent in herb gardens, with its tall, arching blades offering a dynamic vertical presence. In colder climates, it can be grown as an annual or brought indoors during the winter months. With proper care, lemongrass can quickly establish and reach full height during a single growing season. Whether you're enhancing a landscape, cultivating a herb garden, or looking for a functional and fragrant plant, lemongrass delivers visual interest and versatility. Its low-maintenance nature makes it a rewarding choice for both beginner and experienced growers alike.

  • Physical Characteristics: Lemongrass features tall, slender, green stalks with gracefully arching leaves. The plant forms fountain-like clumps with a soft texture and a signature lemon fragrance when brushed or crushed, adding both visual and aromatic appeal.

  • Light Requirements: Lemongrass thrives in full sun conditions. For optimal growth and oil production, provide at least 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight daily. It can tolerate partial sun but may grow more slowly or produce fewer stalks in lower light conditions.

  • Watering Needs: Water lemongrass regularly, keeping the soil consistently moist but not soggy. While established plants are somewhat drought-tolerant, consistent moisture supports lush growth and healthy stalk development throughout the growing season.

  • Soil Preferences: Prefers well-draining, fertile soil with a slightly acidic to neutral pH. Adding compost or organic matter can help improve drainage and nutrient availability, particularly in sandy or clay-heavy soils.

  • Growth Rate and Hardiness: A fast-growing perennial in USDA Zones 9–11 and commonly grown as an annual elsewhere. With proper conditions, lemongrass can reach 3 to 5 feet in height within a single season, forming dense clumps that can be divided over time.

Of course, yes!
Size: 40 Count (Pack of 1)
I absolutely love this product! My dry mouth is terrible with the medicines that I have to take and just being able to stick this on the side of my dumb and let it freely release during the day is fantastic! Why have I never heard of these wonderful little things. Perfect when you want don’t wanna wake up with bad breath these are mintier than most of the other kinds, I have tried. I wish they had xylitol in them because then they would even be great for your teeth.

Great Mint Flavor, better mouth profile
Size: 60 Count (Pack of 1)
Unlike others, I prefer these to the Zylimelts. I like the fact that the flavor is stronger and it's a good mint flavor. it has a little bit of a zing to it but it hasn't hurt my mouth. I find that these give me a better mouth feel than either Zylimelts or the Rite Aid brand which is what I was using before. I chose Rite Aid over Zylimelts because they had a better flavor and mouthfeel and were less expensive the Zylimelts, which left a scummy film in my mouth. Zylimelts are bit larger too & they hurt my mouth from their hard edges & size. Zylimelts leave a yucky coating in my mouth but didn't moisturize anywhere near as well as either Rite Aid or these Freshmelts. These have a lower height & more rounded edges so they don't hurt as much as the others. Fresh melts are also less expensive than the other two. Mostly Zylimelts had difficulty melting because they just don't moisturize well. Even my 99 year old Mom preferred Rite Aid over Zylimelt. Sadly she passed away before I discovered these wonderful FreshMelts. Personally I would suggest if this flavor is too strong for you, see if they come in another flavor, or try the Rite Aid brand of Zylimelts, called "oral care dry mouth discs" in mint flavor also available here on Amazon. They don't have as rounded a top edge as OraCoat's 2 products but they definitely moisturize better than Zylimelts, in my opinion & I think they come in another flavor too. FreshMelts definitely have the most mit flavor, thanks to the mint oil in them, which is what irritates some people. I haven't had that issue & prefer the tingle & freshness, which makes these much better for daytime use as well & lasts longer than Pur mints or Therabreath's dry mouth lozenges (tho sensitive mouths avoid their mandarin mint, it's extremely zingy, maybe even acidic, at least even I only use if out of everything else because of how strong the zing is - which is probably why they were so much cheaper than other flavors. Ha ha. Time before I got another flavor & while tingly, wasn't bad. For Nighttime however, nothing beats the adhesive disc melts. I vote Freshmelts best for good strong flavor, best comfort/size profile & also cheapest, always a plus for me!
