Tower Herbicide is a versatile, broad-spectrum preemergent herbicide primarily used in turfgrass and landscape areas like tees, fairways, and roughs on golf courses. Its active ingredient, dimethenamid-p (DMTA-p), effectively prevents the germination of various challenging weeds, including grasses, sedges, and small-seeded broadleaf species, for over 60 days. Particularly effective on warm-season turfgrasses, Tower controls weeds by hindering shoot formation and cellular growth. It can be mixed with other herbicides, such as Pendulum AquaCap and Finale, for enhanced weed control. However, it should not be used on putting greens or where Poa annua is prevalent. Precautions include delaying overseeding and sprigging after its application and avoiding use on newly overseeded turf in early spring to prevent discoloration and thinning.
