Brassica napus is commonly called canola or rapeseed. It is the third largest source of vegetable oil in the world (behind palm oil and soybean oil). It is primarily grown as a commercial crop (1) for production of vegetable oil (rapeseed oil) from its seeds, (2) for production of biodiesel from rapeseed oil, (3) for its young edible leaves or (4) as forage for livestock. Canola (Canadian Oil Low Acid) is a genetic variant that was developed in the 1970s in Canada and is now commercially grown for its seeds which produce a vegetable oil that is much lower in erucic acid and glucosinolates (fatty acids). Oleifera Group plants are annuals/biennials. They are commercially cultivated in large fields. Plants generally grow to 2-4' tall with flattened leaves to 20" long. Four-petaled yellow flowers are followed by long seed pods. Primarily grown as a commercial crop for harvest of its oil rich seed. Best performance occurs in organically rich, consistently moist, well-drained loams in full sun. Tolerates light shade. Soil pH should be between 6 and 7. Annual varieties are grown in areas with cold winters, but biennial varieties are often grown in areas with warm winters.

Growing Instructions

Plant anytime for salad greens, but to attain a full head, plant 4 to 6 weeks before the first frost. Very frost tolerant. For spring planting, plant as soon as ground can be worked, this is one of the earliest viable greens for spring planting.

1. Sow seeds on the soil.
2. Water the seeds.
3. The plants should ready to harvest 30-60 days after planting.

Quality, cost-effective and the pups love 'em!
Flavor Name: Pig Half Ear | 12 Pack (Most Popular)
These pig ears have been the ultimate reward for two dogs (ages 3 and 5) recently graduating training school. The boys love them and recognize them as the championship belt of good behavior. They're durable, seem to have a flavor the doggos love and don't splinter off like other treats similar to them would. Mighty Paw has a stellar product here and was an easy one to add to the subscribe and save roster. Just try not to give your pups too many of these as it WILL impact their poop somewhat. Too much of a good thing reigns supreme here. Their poop gets a bit runny and smells truly heinous if given too many too frequently. Which is why these need to be treated as special treats for truly good pup moments. Otherwise, fantastic and a go-to from here on out.
