Is the Monster Texas Squat Bar designed only for squatting?
Yes. This bar is purpose-built exclusively for heavy squat training and extreme loads. The 35mm thickness and extreme stiffness make it unsuitable for bench press or deadlifts.
Does the Monster Texas Squat Bar have whip?
Almost none. The 35mm shaft and 200K PSI steel are engineered for maximum stiffness and minimal flex ("zero whip").
Will this bar fit my power rack?
The bar is significantly longer than a standard power bar (101.5"). You must measure your gym space and rack width to confirm compatibility, especially with compact racks.
How much does the Monster Bar weigh?
It weighs 66 lbs / 30 kg. Always account for this extra weight when calculating your plate load.
Can I use this for bench pressing or other lifts?
We do not recommend it. The 35mm shaft is extremely thick for a pressing grip, and the bar weight (30kg) is non-standard for bench computations.
