Lophophora williamsii var. caespitosa is a clustering variety of peyote, a cactus known for its naturally occurring mescaline content. These are healthy, carefully nurtured, established plants that allow you to bypass the finicky seedling stage, giving you a head start on your cultivation journey.

Details:

  • Clustering Variety: This variety of peyote multiplies, producing many new heads as it grows. In the wild, it can spread several feet across the desert floor. It is a rarer form of peyote and a great addition to any cactus collection.
  • Legal Cultivation in Canada: Despite their psychoactive properties, peyote is legal to own and cultivate in Canada.
  • Age and Size: These cacti are approximately 2 years old, about the size of a quarter, and are shipped bare root.
  • Natural Variation: The number of pups (new heads) per cactus varies. Not all cacti of this age have pups, but they will develop them as they grow.

Care Recommendations:

For optimal growth, we recommend using our specialized Cactus Potting Kit and Schultz Cactus Fertilizer. For detailed potting instructions and information on proper care, please visit our Peyote Info Page.

Important Information:

  • In accordance with US laws, we do not ship peyote cacti to the USA.

Good history of the court despite some bias
Format: Hardcover
This was a very interesting history of the court and a fairly good account of how it had changed as well as in other ways not changed over 2 centuries. In the final part regarding the current court, it is apparent that the author is not even handed regarding his analysis of the current justices and decisions, especially regarding anything involving President Trump. Overall, scholarly and well cited with much good analysis and explanation, at least through 80% or so of the book.

Even handed approach and approachable
Format: Kindle
The accolades provided by the book reviewers are accurate. This is accessible, non-partisan and shows a keen understanding of how our legal system has developed over the history of the US. As a practicing attorney, I found myself exclaiming over and again "wow, I didn't realize that!" throughout the read. I studied many of the cases he discusses in law school. I've read other books about the Supreme Court included Wm. Rhenquist's History of the Supreme Court and The Bretheren. Even though I was a serious student, I was enlightened by the author's telling of the story. Like a good history book, this is well-researched.

A must read at a good cost
Format: Hardcover
A recent release and should be read by everyone in order to understand the history on why we have a Supreme Court, why it is the most powerful in the world, its origins, why our founding fathers believed it was necessary and how it addressed significant events in our country's history; paperbound is the best and a good price for an depth analysis or such an important institution

You don't have to be a lawyer to read this
Format: Hardcover
I typically read my non-fiction books from cover to cover, but not this one. I'm using it as mainly a reference book. I thought the author might exhibit some 'left coast bias' but I was pleasantly surprised. Highly recommended.
