The hinged panel next to the smooth work surface lets you scrape unused potting soil into the soil bin below. And the wood grate on the left allows you to water your plants.
CONSTRUCTION
The Potting Bench is 77 inches wide x 26 inches deep x 47 inches high (the work surface is 34 inches high). We built our bench of CCA treated lumber (2x4s and 2x6s) because it lives in a moist greenhouse. The 18 inches x 48 inches work surface is exterior grade MDF. No fancy joinery here, just butt joints and galvanized deck screws.
