Originating in Mexican rainforests, this plant is typically seen trailing, but can develop aerial roots and will climb if given a sturdy structure.

because of the large, multi-petaled flower which only opens at night and will wither and fade by dawn.
Light: Bright direct morning sun to filtered afternoon light.
Water: Drought tolerant.Water when soil has dried out completely.
Bloom: Mature, rootbound plants can produce large pink to white flowers in spring.
Soil: Rich, well draining potting mix. Additives could include sand and perlite.
Propagation: Take a healthy stem cutting and allow the cut edge to callous over. Insert cut edge into soil and lightly water. Keep in bright, light. Roots should form in 2-4 weeks.
