Yet, with time, it can reach 3 feet tall. 'Birkin' is a self-heading philodendron (meaning it does not climb and is self-supporting). ‘Birkin’ thrives in medium to bright, indirect light, so near windows but not so close for direct rays. Such light will bring out the patterns that make ‘Birkin’ a standout houseplant. This is where sheer curtains are your friend, softening the impression of light that would otherwise be too strong. ‘Birkin’ won’t be its same festive, streaky self in low light. This philodendron is no water hog. Aim for slightly moist soil, allowing the top couple of inches to go dry or just about before watering again. Prefers average to above-average relative humidity. If your space has particularly dry air, boost humidity by grouping 'Birkin' with other houseplants. Consider a small humidifier or large pebble tray. Although the stripey variegation is relatively stable, you might find yours producing some unexpected colors or patterns. All green, slight variegation, full cream, or even some pink. Ask and Ye Shall Receive...

The writing and the approach in the book are not earth shattering. In fact, I wish there was a little more meat or pizzaz in the content. So, why the recommendation? Simple - the content at its core is incredibly powerful - and we all need the reminder. Our gentieel approach to communications and emotional interaction has left us forgetting to ASK for things. We expect the world to be mind readers, and get upset, frustrated or depressed when we don't get what we want. Of course, since we never actually ASKED for what we wanted, we rely on guesswork and luck to achieve our dreams and goals.
The genie in the lamp could grant wishes, but those wishes needed to be spoken by Aladdin. Similarly, we are all in a position to achieve our goals and dreams, but they must be spoken. Even within ourselves, we cannot harness our own power of desire and subconscious until we solidify the desire by asking for it.
An absolute must read - even if the writing style is a bit flat - the content is NOT.

Great book, however...

There are many great things about this book and very useful advice and information, however it is very repetitive and some of the excerpts are a bit long and boring. I still recommend it, just be warned.

This book is a “must read”

Want simple ways to have more in your life with out spending more. READ THIS BOOK. It teaches how to ask for what you want. This is on my list of “books that changed my life”. I read it first many years ago. It’s principles and techniques are timeless. I now give copies to friends

PROFOUND AND FANTASTIC READ

I am well pleased that I purchased this book. It begun a bit slow for me but I stuck with it and wham, the delicious content was so so tasty. Kept me alert and alive and captivated.

Great complete start to finish steps setting up a website online for programmers
Format: Paperback
It was nice to have a collection of topics covered over the whole development and deployment process. As a newly retired CSC professor who has not done any work in the Web area it was nice to have so much basic useful material in one place. The source code examples all being online to download is very nice to help overcome the requirement for the book to limit full examples of complete code. I offered to put up a small website for and small non-profit and this text gave me information on every step from finding a host to front-end and backend development at little or no cost. Saved me a lot of online research as it gave a complete picture of what will be needed from start to end. It is a Dummies book so if you want to become expert it only gets you started but far enough into each topic to allow you to grow on your own after that.
