For folksinger Willi Carlisle, singing is healing. And by singing together, he believes we can begin to reckon with the inevitability of human suffering and grow in love. On his latest album, Critterland, Carlisle invites audiences to join him: “If we allow ourselves to sing together, there's a release of sadness, maybe even a communal one. And so for me personally, singing, like the literal act of thinking through suffering, is really freeing,” he says.
Rooted in the eclectic and collective world of his live shows, Carlisle’s third album, Critterland takes up where his sophomore album, Peculiar, Missouri left off, transforming Peculiar’s big tent into a Critterland menagerie and letting loose the weirdos he gathered together. The album is a wild romp through the backwaters of his mind and America, lingering in the odd corners of human nature to visit obscure oddballs, dark secrets and complicated truths about the beauty and pain of life and love.
Produced by the GRAMMY Award-nominated Darrell Scott and to be released Jan. 26, 2024 by Signature Sounds, Critterland considers where we come from and where we are going. On the album, he takes on human suffering through stories about forbidden love, loss, generational trauma, addiction, and suicide, believing that by processing the traits and trauma we inherit, he can reach a deeper understanding of what it means to succeed and to exist.

Good fit for my ipad 11th gen. Good quality and good color texture. The color doesn’t fade away quickly. Easy installation. Been using for 3 months now and it really protects your ipad.

Good simple case
Color: Sky Blue
Fit perfectly with the iPad (A16) and it's such a pretty color! I got the light blue one. Makes me feel safer using the iPad and setting it down. It's pretty easy to fold up into a little stand but it only works well on a solid surface. I don't have an apple pencil but there seems to be a little storage slot for a pencil. The screen shuts on and off when the cover is lifted and closed which I though was a pretty cool.

Nice Lightweight Case with a Handy Pencil Holder
Color: Sky Blue
I received this 11-inch / iPad 10th Generation 10.9" case with Pencil Holder in Sky Blue through the Vine program, and overall it’s a nice, practical case. The sky blue color is very pretty—soft and clean looking without being too bright. It gives the iPad a fresh look and feels nice in hand. The fit is good for the iPad 10th generation, and the soft TPU back makes it easy to install while still feeling secure once it’s on. I also appreciate the built-in Apple Pencil holder. It keeps the pencil from rolling around or getting lost in a bag, and it’s easy to access when needed. The trifold stand works well for basic viewing and typing angles. It holds the iPad steady when watching videos or browsing. However, the folds can feel a little less firm than some higher-end cases, so you sometimes need to position it carefully to keep the angle just right. I do like that the case stays slim and lightweight, so it doesn’t add much bulk while still offering decent everyday protection. Overall, it’s a good, functional case with a nice color and useful pencil holder. It may not feel quite as premium as some more expensive options, but it does the job well and is a solid choice for everyday use.
