The Red Star Dracaena is actually a cultivar of Cordyline australis 'Red Star' rather than a true Dracaena. This architectural plant is valued for its sword-shaped foliage that radiates in a dense rosette from a central stem. The leaves are a striking dark burgundy or bronze-red, providing year-round color and a strong vertical element to landscape designs and container arrangements. As the plant matures, it develops a palm-like trunk and can eventually branch to produce multiple heads of foliage.
